Unique Water based two components, Aliphatic, Satin Finish Polyurethane Top-Coat for UV protection of Pool Coatings.
Is a two component, water based, aliphatic coating with exceptional resistance to chlorine treated water as well as UV resistance in any color. A common problem in swimming pool waterproofing with Epoxy systems is that over time the color instability of the epoxy coat gives a washed out look to the coating or even in the case of bad quality epoxies severe discoloration.

Application procedure

SUPERTECTUM TOPCOAT POOL apply over fresh SUPERTECTUM WB POOL (or equivalent epoxy based pool coating) within 24-48 hours. If more than 72 hours have passed since application of epoxy main coat, please carry out adhesion test.

Immediately before application, mix the component B with a low-speed mixer (up to 300rpm). Add component A and continue mixing for a few minutes until product has a homogenous color. Pay particular attention to the wall lining and bottom of the pail.

Apply with roller or airless spray (working pressure >200bar). A wide spatula can be used when applying to the bottom of the pool. Make sure not to disturb applied material with excessive rolling as roll marks may appear. The material is relatively fast drying and therefore any additional rolling after first application will cause surface defects to appear.

Make sure first coat is completely dry before second coat is applied. Consumption per one layer 150- 200gr/m2.

Can be kept for 12 months minimum in the original unopened pails in dry places and at temperatures between 5oC to 25oC. Once opened, use as soon as possible.
